Finally, the 2002 is nearly done. I think that three Hondas at same time is just too much, this is getting a little boring. :-) 

Still need to polish the fairings, paint the backsides black and add a couple of decals to the frame.

Then this is done.

What next?

I've started to plan my next projects; two Yamahas this time. -09 for a "Tamiya OOB" Group build on a finnish Forum
Basicly it's a group build for any Tamiya model, but it has to be Out Of the Box. So no aftermarket parts this time. :-)

I chose the Tech3 Monster bike



I will also build Rossis special livery Yzr-M1 2010 from the Laguna Seca race, using a KS-Workshop resin transkit and Nicolecron decals.

The -02 is nearly fished, the decal work on the cowlings is done. Still need to clear coat them.

I fitted the unfished exhaust on the bike, looks good

I've started to apply the main decals on the -02 Honda, those old Tamiya decals are a real pain in the ass.. Very fragile.

Exhaust is almost finished, still need to paint the "heatstains".

Handlebar is also done, came out nice.

I managed to fix the carbonfiber decal, i used more smaller pices this time.

I replaced the chaintensioners with T2M photoetch pieces.

First big mistake, i screwed up the carbonfiber decal. Have to remove it and start over.

I just finished painting the cowlings, so far looks good.

Time for update on these two Hondas i'm working on.
'02 fairings are ready for the main paint. I'll be using Zero Paints white as a base, and then met. blue and Repsol orange.

Chains are almost ready, i still need detail them with a brush. One rear fender remains black, carbon fiber decal for the other one.

Exhaust pipe seams are filled with Mr Surfacer 500

Yamaha collection complete...for now

This week i got the '06 YZR-M1 that i ordered from hobbyeasy.
From these kits i'll build Yamahas YZR500 '99-'02 & YZR-M1 '03-'10, it will be a nice collection to see the evolution of the bikes. Next i have to get the bikes from 2011 onwards, and also find the time to build these :-/

Recent changes

I decided to change the language to english on my blog, because i also write to, two Finnish forums www.pienoismallit.net and www.fcma.fi.

At the moment i write mainly about MotoGP bikes, also classic american cars and F1 cars are close to heart.

Benchvent BV300S-D maalauslaatikko

Viime kesänä hommasin uuden maalauslaatikon Wiltecin tilalle.
Wiltecissä ei meinannut imuteho riittää tyjyimpien maalien kanssa ja tulettimen kipinäsuojauksen puute myös huoletti.
SPC:n foorumeita selatessani moni suositteli tätä laatikkoa, vanhalta mallinimeltään GraphicAir A300S-D. Jos melutasoa ei oteta huomioon, mitään valitettavaa ei ole.

Honda RC211V 2002 & 2003

Nämä kaksi tuli aloitettua jo vuoden alussa, Tampereen kisan takia jätin nämä myöhemmäksi. Moottorit ovat valmiit, toinen rungoista pitää hiilikuiduttaa ja muutama kohta maalata mustalla.

Lillikin tietää mistä parhaat pienoismallit tulevat!

Studio 27 YZR-M1 2003 Transkit

Hain tänään postista Ebaysta huutamani Studio 27:n valmistaman muutossarjan.
Kiven alla alkaa tämä olemaan, taisi olla toinen mitä olen tänä vuonna myynnissä nähnyt.
Nyt alkaa kokoelma olla valmis, enään puuttuu Studio 27:n 2006 vuoden Yamahan transkit.
Sitten kaapista löytyy kaikki Yamahan MotoGp pyörät -99-2010, eiköhän 2011-> tule aikanaan hommattua.

Päätin kokeilla jotain ihan muuta. Ostin Car model kitistä rossin kypärä setin missä on kaksi hartsista valettua kypärää ja kahdet dekaali setit, 2008&2009.

Kypärät maalattuna Zero Paintsin valkoisella.

Toinen keskeneräinen, tällä kertaa onnistuin mokaamaan pakoputken kanssa.
Kiinnitys panta oli tarkoitus korvata etsi-osalla mutta sen katkettua inspiraatio laski nollaan.

Lisää hondaa..
Tämän kanssa tuli aikamoinen kiire, Tampereen pienoismallipäivälle piti tämä saada valmiiksi.

Kiireen takia tuli hutiloitua. Esim. Ketju katkesi kahdesta kohdasta ja keulassa, toinen alajaloista on irti kun asensin sen ensin väärinpäin. :-D
